Nothing special about this recipe, just a normal fried rice that I 'campak2' when cooking. Well, what I usually know about nasi goreng kampung is the spiciness from the cili padi, crunchiness of anchovies and long beans that will be cut into smaller sizes. Usually it will be served with fish crackers, fried egg and sambal belachan. FUH! POWER!
Ingredients: (A)
-4cups of rice (best if cook it yesterday night)
-1 chicken breast or meat
-1 red onion (sliced thinly)
-1 or 2 cups mixed vege or
-handful of long beans (cut into small pieces)
-salt
-2 teaspoon anchovies stock powder (knorr)
(B) Blend or pound it together
-1 big red onion
-2 piece garlic
-8 chili padi (bird eye chili)
-3 stalk green chilli
-pinch of belachan
-handful of anchovies (wash &soak)
Method:
-Blend B altogether till fine.
-Heat up the oil
-Pour in the blended ingredients and fry it till fragrant
-Add the anchovies seasoning powder and bit of salt
-Add in chicken, mix till well cooked
-sliced onion, mixed vege and scrambled the egg
-Lastly put in the rice and stir till well mixed.
